At long last a Solution has been developed that combines quality and cost-cut-ting for heat treatments in the field of aluminium extrusion. Albaplant Sri of Milano, Italy, offers two high-tech innovations for extrusion die nitriding and preheating furnaces designed specifically for the aluminium extrusion sector. The result is improved quality of extruded profiles without any change to the dies or the extrusion parameters, an increase in productivity of the extrusion line, and also considerable energy savings. Nitriding and preheating are the two heat treatments that a die must undergo before it can be used in order to improve the Overall Performance.
