Greenhouse crops require high amounts of nitrogen for growth yet high supply levels on soil-based crops run a risk of high losses. A model is now available to assist growers in planning their nitrogen fertiliser strategy. The model can evaluate the impact of organic fertiliser strategies on crop production and on the environment in both conventional and organic production systems.
