Good news if you like steak and eggs together. Simultaneously, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is developing new production and processing standards for meat and eggs.The "Primary Production and Processing Standard for Meat and Meat Products" first assessment report, released for comment Sept. 23, focuses on consideration of whether FSANZ incorporates the existing on-farm practices into regulatory requirements in the Food Standards Code or retain the current industry self-regulatory approach.
