I found this article ve'ry interesting and it appears that I am dealing with a similar case. My patient, affected by premature' ovarian failure, achieved pregnancy after a hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The patient had her first menses at 13 years old and during her life she has had normal menstrual cycles. She has been using oral contra ceptives for many years. In 2004, when she was 39 years old, she complained of amenorrhea. On examination, her follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) was higher than 75 mU/ml and ultrasound (US) scan demonstrated that the ovaries were lower and dense.
