La formation chirurgicale ? à la fran?aise ? jouit toujours d’une excellente réputation. Mais qu’en est-il réellement en 2013 en gynécologie-obstétrique (GO) ? Depuis 1999 et la création du dipl?me d’études spécialisées (DES) de GO, la formation des internes en a été grandement modifiée du fait d’une démographie médicale totalement changée. En 1999, on comptait 110 postes ouverts à l’internat en GO [1] quand on en compte aujourd’hui 195 pour l’examen classant national de 2012–2013 (arrêté du 12 juillet 2010). Cette augmentation se justifie par la nécessité de former des gynécologues-obstétriciens tant la pyramide des ages des praticiens en activité est déséquilibrée avec 67 % d’entre eux ayant 55 ans ou plus [2].
