CGG has signalled the latest stage of its strategic restructuring to become more asset light by selling its North American land contract business to Geokinetics - one of the largest independent international land and shallow water seismic companies. CGG has announced that it has transferred its North American Land Contract assets and activities (excluding its land multi-client and monitoring businesses) in return for a minority equity stake in Geokinetics.
