1997 is the year when memories become more than just nostalgia in the craft and hobby industry. At the recent HIA trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, memory products surged into the marketplace. Memory products include acid free scrapbooks, photo albums, memory boxes and memory boards. We found a new exhibitor promoting Memory Makers, a magazine who claims to be "The Original Magazine of Creative Ideas for Photo Albums." This is a jam packed magazine with ideas for consumers: consumer report - aneditorial section for the newest tools and products in scrapbooking; ideas for kids, stamping, weddings, and every day events; and there are cut out ideas to help the consumer put ideas onto paper. Hot Off the Press Inc. has been busy publishing 15 MemoryAlbum series books called Paper Pizazz~(TM). These books have up to 32 pages of designs and album pages ranging from Christmas to birthdays. These books also give the consumer a basic list of supplies and easy-to-follow step by step directions. Samplesof how the pages can be used are demonstrated on the covers.
