Moyola Precision Engineering in Castledawson, Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, is the first customer in the world to take delivery of a DS Technologie Ecospeed F equipped with both the new integral c-axis and angular milling head. The machine is also the first machining centre to use an 'integral c-axis' in combination with parallel kinematics for multi-axis machining, it is claimed, with c-axis a "100 per cent machining axis". The Ecospeed F has a Sprint Z3 parallel kinematic head enabling movement within an arc of + - 40 deg, but with the addition of c-axis and angled milling head the theoretical figure is now + - 130 deg.
