Agarden illustrating the core concepts of its historical period might just last forever. That seems to be thefortunate circumstance for the Giusti (Palazzo e Giardino Giusti), a late-Renaissance palace and its surrounding landscape in Verona, Italy. The gardens are a classic example of symmetry, balance and order - the tenets of rational thinking expressed in landscape design - mixed with nature left wild. Giusti remains a premier example of adroit restraint in garden design, utilizing a minimum plant palette for maximum effect.
