The import committee of the MBA was tasked with generating the questions in the survey with the intension to gauge the level of interest of commercial beekeepers toward access to alternative sources of packaged honey bees. The survey questions were also setup to identify what are the primary reasons why someone would want to have access to packaged honey bees. The survey was not intended to be a policy setting survey, but rather a series of questions that provide insight into how commercial beekeepers in Manitoba feel about the current level of access to packaged bees and what alternatives if any would they consider to be beneficial for the industry.
