Thanks to the Efficient Dynamics program, the BMW Group has managed to reduce the CO_2 emissions of their European car fleet by more than 30 percent over the past ten years - without compromising on sheer driving pleasure. Further significant reductions in CO_2 emissions, even more far-reaching requirements with regard to emission control and demands for zero-emission models within the fleet portfolio now require revolutionary approaches in development. BMW i is the BMW Group's answer to these challenges. The brand stands for new vehicle concepts, modern design and a new understanding of premium, which is strongly defined by sustainability. Of course, BMW i stands for sheer driving pleasure - our brand promise on which we want to deliver with each and every one of our products.
