While there is still overcapacity in the global linepipe markets, pipeline projects are making headway in some markets. TheTrans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is moving ahead quite quickly, despite the reservations of the new Greek government, discussed last month. We understand that 8 groups (including some joint mill tenders) have now been pre-qualified for one or more of the onshore Greece and Albania lots and they are now in the process of pricing their final tender, which is due for submission in Maywith the final decision in August. Realistically therefore they will be rolling by the end of the year.
