Saudi Arabia continues to push on ahead with its pipeline infrastructure development this month. MBR understands that tenders for pipeline supply for a new crude oil pipeline - the New Arabia pipeline - between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are expected to be announced by the end of the year. Saudi Aramco and Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) have completed the front-end engineering design (FEED) on the $350m oil pipeline. The total length of the planned pipeline will be 115km, of which 74km would be on land and 31km would be offshore and this will be being built to allow Aramco to expand on its oil shipments to Bahrain. MBR understands that the pipeline will be of diameter 30” and a total tonnage of 35kt.
