摘要

Mothers often report feeling stressed when it is time for their children to receive immunizations. The painful procedure can cause an unpleasant encounter for all involved. These early experiences may set the tone for children's anxiety related to healthcare visits. A number of techniques have been developed to decrease the pain of injections. Often these strategies are underutilized. Primary care providers may not be aware of pain reduction techniques. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a teaching module on immunization pain reduction practices in pediatric primary care offices.
