The mixed messages about the desirability of having a resource-efficient circular economy on one hand, and concerns about its cost on the other, do little to help the UK's dynamic plastic recycling industry at a critical point in its evolution. If there was ever a time when the Government, both UK and European, needed to provide strong leadership and a clear vision for the future, it is now.
