German company, PVA, which enjoys a global reputation for the manufacture of outstandingly economic and reliable sintering furnaces for powder metallurgical products, now provides hard metal producers with an innovative tool designed to enhance the sintering quality of conventional hard metal and cermets. In addition to the established quality of PVA-work, the new generation of COV vacuum sintering furnaces are distinguished by the following notable features; A special arrangement of graphite heaters and temperature control with four independent control circuits provide for a temperature homogeneity of +- 3 deg K or better throughout the hot zone even during sintering under hydrogen atmosphere.
