AMEC introduced the new APX Drilling System to the UK at the MACH Show this year. The APX is a modular tool designed for depths outside the range of a traditional IC drill. The diameter range of the tool is 38 to 101.60mm with depths of 5, 8 and 10x diameter. The tool uses a fixed series body with various heads that determine the cutting diameter. There are 10 series to cover the diameter range. Special diameter heads are available with 15 day lead time.
