It was based in the quiet, unassuming town of Hanover, New Hampshire. Its first "facility" was actually a small garage.Yet, from this rather austere beginning, Hypertherm has grown to become a world leader in the research, design, manufacture and sales of plasma arc metal-cutting equipment. The multi-million-dollar, privately-owned company employs over 400 people and, besides its New Hampshire head-quarters and manufacturing facility, has subsidiaries in Germany, Singapore and the United Kingdom, plus sales offices in France and Italy.The company produces an extensive array of plasma cutting systems, all of which cut most metals. Through its extensive worldwide distributor and OEM network, Hypertherm sells its cutting equipment for use in a huge variety of manual and mechanized applications, ranging from fabrication to HVAC and even sculpture.
