Several new varieties of SWIFTSURE swing clamps from Carr Lane Roemheld offer position monitoring for more swing clamp control. One hydraulic version utilizes a proximity switch installed in the housing of the swing clamp. The same clamp in a pneumatic version uses an installed magnetic piston, which works with sensors to enable position monitoring. Both are available in various sizes.Another hydraulic variety of swing clamp has a protruding actuating rod, which allows position control outside the work area by electrical or pneumatic controls. Fixtures can be clamped with unrestricted workpiece loading and unloading, and the clamp is ideal for use with handling systems, transfer lines, test systems for motors or gears, automatic manufacturing systems and assembly lines.
