The MWP/FFi Golf Challenge gave us a Friday 13th never to forget at the home of golf, St Andrews. Unlike the scary film sequences, superstitious thoughts and horror tales, this day started gloriously with warm sunshine descending through a clear blue sky which gave us fabulous views along the coast at the New Course. However I am sure that some nerves were jangling among the competitors who, having registered and participated in a hot roll and coffee, compared handicaps and then stole the last few minutes to stretch and get onto the practice greens before the big tee-off.
