The paper deals with some aspects of the hot-rolledplates manufacturing both in Romania and all over the world.The analyses pointed out that this metallurgical branch may reviveand it must be technologically and financially suported taking intoaccount its weight of more than 50% in the Romanian iron and steel industry.
