摘要

An isotropy terahertz (THz) metamaterial for dual-band operation is designed and fabricated. The proposed metamaterial is composed of periodically arranged double metallic rings, and negative permittivity is obtained in 298-388 GHz and 652-780 GHz bands. Transmission and reflection characteristics of the proposed structure are simulated using Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator. The designed sample is fabricated on a gallium arsenide layer, and experiments are performed in THz time-domain spectroscopy. The experimental results agree well with the simulations.
