With nickel prices this month hitting levels not seen since 2003,Europe’s stainless steel industry is evidently suffering fromdeflation specific to its own industry in addition to wider, globaleconomic woes. Despite a number of factors and indicatorsoffering promising signs therefore, Europe’s stainless steelproducers continue to wait, frustrated, for a change in fortunes.
