ALTHOUGH OZ MINERALS Ltd was able to announce to the world that it had railed the first concentrate from its much anticipated Prominent Hill copper-gold operation in South Australia, the event didn't seem to create much of a celebration. If anything, this "significant milestone", as the company described it, was all but ignored as everybody concentrated on the bigger picture surrounding the debt-struck OZ Minerals - that being its attempted takeover by Chinese outfit Minmetals Corporation and the subsequent Rudd Government intervention in the deal.
