There are defined the terms of standardisation, standard, harmonised standards, directive, machine, hydraulic systems and basic requirements. Basing on PN-EN 982:1998, harmonised with the new-approach directive NO 98/37/EC that concerns machine safety, the hazards and factors having an effect on safety of hydraulic systems and their elements have been determined. The principles of designing, construction and modernisation of hydraulic systems and their elements have been established. The paper includes a list of standards ISO and EN, quoted in PN-EN 982:1998 and their domestic equivalents.
