One of the top contenders for the LPG assets of Royal Dutch Shell says it is increasing its investment in its downstream operations,including its LPG division,and will now be bidding for Royal Dutch/Shell's LPG unit without a partner.Repsol YPF SA(Buenos Aires)announced in mid-November that it plans to invest 6.2 billion Euro,up from 5.7 billion Euro,in its downstream operations over the next four years.Of the total increase,71% is earmarked for refining and marketing,with 18% for chemicals and 11% for LPG operations.
