摘要

The early post-war area in aviation has always fascinated me. Pre-war; fixed gear, fabric covered biplanes were still common as fighters and in that short period of time aviation had progressed to where a retractable gear, metal-clad jet-powered interceptor had to be taken seriously. However, in the transition period to swept wings and tricycle gear, there were fighters that adopted some of the new innovations while retaining some of the old. One of the best examples of this incremental approach was the attractive Supermarine Attacker - Photo 1. This jet, along with the Yak-15 Photo 2, were the only two operational jets with straight wings and tail wheels.
