The Mineral and Metallurgical Processing Division's (MPD) poster competition keeps getting bigger and better. At the 2015 SME Annual Conference and Expo in Denver, CO, the MPD poster competition had 38 entries - 34 graduate and four undergraduate - with 11 winners receiving $1,000, $500 or $200 scholarships. The competition started prior to the meeting with students submitting graphical abstracts for judging. Finalists were then selected to present their findings during a MPD session on Wednesday morning. Based on the finalists' presentations and posters, winners were selected and announced at the MPD luncheon on Wednesday. All applicants were invited to present their posters prior to the MPD luncheon and then join with division members for lunch at no cost. Additionally, all poster presenters received a $100 scholarship for their participation.
