Mike M. Heger graduated from North Dakota State University in 1997 with a B.S. in civil engineering. While still in school, he worked for North American Coal's Falkirk Mining company as an engineering technician and surveyor. He is currently employed at North American Coal's San Miguel operation in Christine, TX. At San Miguel, his job duties included long-range mine planning, civil engineering, production supervision and environmental compliance. In addition to those duties, he currently oversees the operation and maintenance of the mine's 12 global positioning system units, 10 of which are installed on heavy equipment.
