Philippi-Hagenbuch (PHIL) develops rear-eject bodies for articulated haul trucks and some rigid-frame trucks. The company released its rear-eject body for the Volvo A35C articulated truck. This body can dump faster and handle hard-to-dump sticky material. It is designed for dumping, on the move or in situations with limited height clearances. Dump cycle times with rear-eject body are typically faster than rear-dump times, PHIL said. The ejector system lowers the load center. This allows the rear-eject body to dump in conditions where other trucks would be unstable or unsafe. In-cab controlled operation allows PHIL's rear-eject bodies to spread material as it ejects. This reduces dozing and spreading workloads. The same hydraulic cylinder controls the ejector and the tailgate. And the bodies have only two lubrication points that need greasing only once a year.
