The Silver Institute reported that, for the fifth year in a row, fabrication demand for siler exceeded conventional supply during 1994. The Institute's annual Worls Silver Sruvey said that demand exceeded supply by 4.6kt(150.2 million oz), forcing the reduction of silver stocks around the worls, Silver has three major use categories. They a e industrial/ decorative, juewelay/silverware and photography. The 1995 report was compiled by London-based Gold Fields Mineral Services. Research for the report included interviews in 56 countries with nearly 750 producers, fabricators, manufacturers, government officials, bankers and other people active in the world's silver markets.
