For the past 15 years, Peter Dolph, golf tournament chair of the Colorado Section, has been organizing and operating an annual golf tournament that generates scholarship funds for college-level, Colorado-area engineering students studying minerals industry disciplines. The golf tournament has been held in September of each year, with a brief hiatus due to the 9/11 attacks. Tournament participants are treated to 18 holes of golf at one of the Denver area's best courses and an awesome barbecue buffet.
