Peter Munk and William James, two of the most recognized names in mining, were inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame on Jan. 11, 2002, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, ON Canada. The two men were recognized for their contributions to helping build successful companies.Munk was honored for building Barrick Gold into one of the world's largest gold-mining companies. James was recognized for turning around several companies, including Falconbridge.
