The SME Environmental Division is almost 10 years old. We have a lot to celebrate, so let's get started. Here is a little bit about what has been going on and what is to come. Environmental professionals turned out in force for the annual meeting in St. Louis in March. The efforts of the committee, led by Charles Bucknam, to host the 7th International Conference on Acid Rock Drainage (ICARD) paid off. The environmental technical program was amazing. And we managed to have more than a little fun at the ICARD dinner. The dinner featured awards, acknowledgements and enthusiastic dancing to the Authentic Blues Band.
