Jurgen Brune, PE, Eur-ing, QP, has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief (EIC) of the Mining Engineering/SME Transactions editorial board for peer review. He has been serving as interim EIC since the untimely death of Christopher Bise in February 2015. Bise had served as the EIC since the board's inception in 2005, when SME began using the ScholarOne online peer-review system.
