Evelyn Bingham has been with Pinto Valley Operations since 1991. She is currently responsible for all aspects of environmental compliance for an openpit copper operation covering more than 40 km~2 (10,000 acres) of land. Bingham earned her B.S. in geology from the University of Michigan in 1975.Bingham began her career in Colorado's underground metal mining industry as a mine engineer with expertise in ventilation, under-ground drift design and environmental compliance. Always interested in natural science, her career gradually shifted to focus entirely on coordinating environmental affairs for operating mining properties. With nearly 25 years supporting the mining industry, she has held positions with other companies including Echo Bay in Silverton, CO and Day Mines and Climax Molybdenum in Leadville, CO. Bingham lives with her family in Miami, AZ.
