The Coal and Energy Division Distinguished Service Award is presented to Francis Martino in recognition of his achievements in the coal mining industry.Martino is a power contracts specialist at GPU Energy. During the past 25 years at GPU, Martino has been manager of energy procurement, utilization, coal recovery, mine development, mine operations, coal cleaning, and exploration projects. He has been active in SME as chair of the Coal Division, a member of the division executive committee, a member of the SME Board of Directors and a member of the SME Foundation Board of Trustees.
