Cavity design and wear profile control are very important processes in the analyzing and creating of the optimal wear materials of the Nordberg and Svedala cone crushers. These processes use a variety of methods to provide service to the customers. One of these methods uses a portable and precise measurement device that was previously used by Nordberg Sales Corp. It is now used globally by Metso Minerals Industries for wear materials control. The device is called the FARO Arm. The process of implementing this device throughout the wear material analysis is known as the FARO Arm technique. This technique is a reverse engineering process in which a digitizer acquires points on the surface of an object. A modern software package assembles these points in a mathematical model. This technique is well known in today's modern technology.
