NORTHERN DYNASTY Minerals announced that it plans to begin the permitting application process for its $4.7 billion Pebble Project in Alaska, but it will be doing it alone, as Anglo American, Northern Dynasty's partner in the project, announced that it was withdrawing from the joint venture. Anglo American chief executive officer Mark Cutifani made the decision to pull out from the project, saying his company would be more selective about the projects it pursues, the Financial Times reported.
