FOLLOWING THE keynote address of the 2015 SME Annual Conference, the audience of about 2,000 people was invited to submit questions to the panelists. The audience responded with hundreds of thought-provoking questions. Moderator Peter Bryant posed a handful of questions to the panelists and, in the coming months, Mining Engineering will attempt to get answers to more of these questions. This month, Mining Engineering will focus on the issue of big data security, a question that was asked by many audience members.
