摘要

The continuous effort toward better mill performance at increased throughput and lower costs will lead to improved quality control of mill feed. Bulk sorting of run-of-mine ore into different quality classes and the separation of internal waste are major steps. LIF analysis detects even minor changes in the mineral composition of ore, which with most other analytical methods cannot be measured in real-time. Here, especially, changes in the mineral composition and in degree of oxidation or alteration of the ore are of importance. Research into fields peripheral to mining show promising application possibilities in industrial minerals processing. LIF analyzers operate in a noncontact mode and in real-time. They do not hamper any transport system and facilitate the automatic control of downstream processing.
