摘要

SME headquarters in Littleton, CO hosted a delegation from the China Coal Society (CCS) on March 25, 2002. This was a result of a technical cooperation agreement signed by 2001 SME President Ta M. Li, Washington Group International, in November 2001. The delegation consisted of nine members led by Cheng, Fukang, deputy secretary general of the CCS and Li, Guangming, director of the Hunan Coal Science Research Institute. Other members of the delegation represented the Xinglongzhuang Coal Operations, the Baisha Coal and Power Group, the Yanzhou Group and Hunan Mei Tan Ba Energy. The CCS was established in 1962. It is an organization for professionals in China's coal industry and a unit of the China Association of Science. The purpose of CCS is to facilitate technical information exchange within the coal industry to promote sustainable growth and industry modernization. The CCS publishes the Journal of China Coal Society and Modern Miner.
