Pumpex has redesigned its midrange wastewater pump series. The pumps combine the efficiency and reliability of a cartridge mechanical seal and closed loop cooling system with a larger hydraulic capacity. The result is greater efficiency and maintenance-reducing features. The pumps range in size from 7 to 60 kW (10 to 80 hp) with a 100-to 305-mm (4- to 12-in.) discharge. They feature Pumpex's closed-loop motor cooling system and cartridge mechanical seal. The closed-loop cooling system continually circulates water/glycol bath. It introduces no foreign impurities or debris from the pumped liquid to clog the cooling channels, cause failure or result in costly emergency maintenance. The cooling system is independent from the debris-laden liquid it is pumping.
