WesTech Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1973 by three friends who collaborated to design, engineer and build liquid-solids separation equipment. The company soon gained a reputation for well-designed process equipment which performed as specified and provided long-lasting service under real-world conditions. This legacy continues today. Paste thickening is a proven technology for increasing the profitability of mining operations. With water now becoming a scarce and valuable commodity for many mines, paste thickeners recover the maximum water possible from tailings streams. When tailings paste is disposed of at an optimal consistency, tailings disposal sites have a longer life and the land can be reclaimed faster and easier than with conventional tailings disposal methods. New tailings disposal sites can be smaller and significantly less costly because dam and impoundment requirements are less demanding.
