P&H MinePro Services - Canada said a Canadian oil sands producer has ordered three P&H 4100C Boss Electric Shovels. The shovels will be used for Phase 1 of Canadian Natural Resources Horizon Oil Sands project in Alberta, Canada. The project is targeted at 6.8 billion Canada dollars and is projected to produce 110,000 bbl/d of light sweet synthetic crude oil by oil sands mining techniques. Production is set to begin during the second half of 2008. The new Boss machines will feature the P&H Centurion System and an all new cab with the P&H Loading Control Center.
