IMC Global announced that Canpotex Ltd. sold 1.2 Mt (1.32 million st) of Canadian muriate of potash to China national Agricultural Means of Production Group (CNAMPGC). The sale was completed through Canpotex International, Canpotex's marketing company. The sale covers shipments through August 2001, IMC Global said. In 2000, CAN-MPGC also purchased 1.2 Mt (1.32 million st) of muriate of potash from Canpotex. Prices for this latest purchase are the same as last year's contract.Canpotex's member companies include IMC Global, Agrium and Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (PCS). IMC Global supplies Canpotex with 34.97 percent of its potash product, Agrium supplies 9.38 percent and PCS supplies 55.65 percent.
