The Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering (EME; http://www.eme.psu. edu) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The desired principal research and teaching areas for the position are in mining engineering. EME is home to Penn State's degree programs in Mining Engineering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Environmental Systems Engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Business and Finance, and Energy and Mineral Engineering. The successful candidate should be able to help in building and maintaining excellence in Penn State's Mining Engineering undergraduate program and the graduate option in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering. The candidate will teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, supervise graduate students at the MS and PhD levels, and carry out an active research program in his/her area of specialization.
