BARRICK GOLD Corps work on its Pascua Lama Mine was suspended by a Chilean court for "environmental irregularities" on April 10, The Associated Press reported. The suspension came after indigenous communities complained to the appeals court in the northern city of Copiapo that the project is threatening their water supply and polluting glaciers.
