Sales of sand and gravel rose in 2010 but reserves are falling and more planning co-operation is needed, says a report published the south east of England aggregates working party. Sales of sand and gravel in the south east nudged up to 6.1 million tonnes in 2010, some 100,000 tonnes more than in 2009,but reserves have fallen in the past decade it said.
