This issue of Mineral Planning contains several features which look back to the history of the sector. This is an arena which operates over lengthy timescales and in which sometimes the past is reinvigorated to suit the future. Such an example is the reopening or opening of delves to support the Herefordshire Stone Tile Project in the 1990s to address a heritage restoration crisis.
